    Waiting on a touchscreen to come in the mail... then I'm going to upgrade to a Pi 2, and add speakers microphone and Camera. I also think I might have too many batteries, might remove one or two.

Nicely done.  Looking forward the the software piece that pulls this together.  It would be cool to have a GUI-like screen where you can just tap on a button and the app pops up.  One app could be for taking pics, another for vids.  Even cooler, using the tablet for data acquisition like a field instrument.
