Did you ever built a device that you wanted to monitor for a longer period of time before sending it to the real world? Maybe you wanted to know the current consumption of the device. Or you wanted to listen to serial data that your device outputs? Then ESP-MONITOR is a perfect gadget for you. A device built around popular ESP8266 Espressif's microcontroller is gathering current and serial data and then sending it over MQTT protocol to our Raspberry Pi. There we with the help of Node-Red pare the messages and save them into Influxdb database. Visualization tool Grafana then grabs the data and plots it in cool graphs. Everything is done within within Balena framework which enables us multicontainer solutions and firmware updates over air.
