An arm that can help the disabled or enhance the already existing strength of people with two arms. Unfortunately, doesn't include a hand.
Right now I'm building the first pneumatic muscle. I had to find additional connectors for the solenoid valve unfortunately, but that was only a minor setback. In case you haven't noticed, I'm basically uploading a lot of project logs at once, because I procrastinate. A LOT. I have a video of the first pneumatic muscle working, and just so you know, the socket wrench in one end is NOT how the finished muscle will look. I'm posting this on what will hopefully become my project channel.
I have started buying stuff for the arm. I've decided that I'm going to use a solenoid valve to control the airflow, and I got a 18 dollar 5 way one (no idea if it works or if it's good or not, but oh well). I've loosely adhered to an instructables design, but have changed it quite a bit with different end connectors, so really the only similarities are the mesh sheath and the rubber tubing inside. This is about a week after I first started designing the arm.
I have started designing how the arm is going to work, and made a sketch in paint which is crappy, but shows how the structure of the arm is going to be.
