Servo Socks

Servo Socks are a case that snaps over a common, replaceable servo motor adding material to hack with. Cut, Carve, Sand and Drill them!

I love tinkering with robotics and especially making stuff move with servo motos but, every time I wanted to work a servo into a project, I found it was too tedious and would just slow me down. So I came up with Servo Socks! Servo Socks are like working with wood so you can use regular tools and fasteners to make them fit to get your projects moving!

Hey Tom,

Sorry for the delay...been a whirlwind getting Servo Socks released.  The Servo Socks are made from 100% recycled HDPE plastic lumber which is very similar to working with wood (in some cases better because it doesn't split!)  They are CNC machined because they are solid and 3D printing solid would take far too ling to be economical.  Original prototypes were made that way.

Totally agree on the use for students, we are hoping that is our primary demographic!  They are also great because they encourage the use of everyday materials instead of a whole kit...that's why we call them the anti-kit :-)

This is a very interesting project, I could see how this would make it easier for students to rapidly build servo-powered gadgets.

What are the socks actually made of? Are they 3D printed?
