The test worked well as far as illumination, however, I don't believe the LEDs I'm using can light up an area this large. This test would work better with smaller illuminated areas.

Boards first, then we'll see how blinky it is

The Shitty Add-On movement continues on, and there are more and more boards featuring reverse-mounted LEDs. Reverse-mounted LEDs don't lend themselves to pick and place assembly, so this is a project to see if another technique can be used (Oreo construction) to make flat, illuminated panels in PCBs.---------- more ----------Right now, this is just a test. It's a 50mm square board with a Shitty Add-On V.1.69bis connector. There are three 'windows' or 'panels' in this test, each of which can be illuminated individually. It's not artistic, and it's not very technical, even; that's not the point, this is just a test to see what's possible.
This project consists of three boards, a base with all the circuitry (on a 0.6mm PCB), a spacer (1.6mm pcb) and a top cover (0.6mm). Here are some pictures:
The boards are ordered, I did the top cover in red soldermask. I'll finish this up in a week.
