I am currently in the process of designing a new STEM lab/Makerspace for one of my contracts that happens to be located in a pre-war building on Governors Island NYC. The space has an incredible old fireplace that has likely not seen use for decades.

In order to spruce up the joint, I am building a makeshift fireplace that is safe to the touch and will hopefully inspire creativity and innovation in my students! Instead of fire and sticks, we will be using Neopixels, wire, tissue paper and repurposed mini fans.

As the kids say, its gonna be lit!
