They asked me to split this piece, I have gone a little bit further, made 3 pieces of it with a roof that can be opened, you can bring the middle motor into it on the orther way, the structure has been a lot stronger that way.The two other parts can be screwed togetter and be glued. I think it will reduce a lot of time printing it and little structures to use.
Also a fan has been forseen and the roof has some ventilation holes.

Hope you like it!

I am now printing the top part. It is my 4th trial.

First trial I printed it in the correct orientation but because of the fine initial footprint it came loos.

Then tried to print upside down, but 2 trials failed again when I have issues with the support structure.

I finally increased the number of support structures and set the object cool-down ventilator to zero. This time it appears to get through the layers. The problem is warping of the solid layer pulling the support structures from the heat-bed.

I love that this part is printed separately because now I can do multiple retries and that part is less important for the model to be accurate.

I have a mini 3d printer with a 120x120mm print bed ( Malyan M200 ). I Just tried adding the MM_ART1BODY_01_PART2 into Cura and as expected it's too big for the printer. Do you happen to have made a further split in your modifications that would allow me to print Thor on a mini printer?

Hi, I will examine if it will be possible but I think this will be not that easy. I always wanted to make a smaller one but I didn't have the time at the moment to develop it.

I just noticed that you can now insert the top motor from the top! It was one of the issues that my plastic broke off because my walls were too thin.

The fan opening is also great it cools the 3 motors and the heat is forced up in openings that are more naturally protect by the robot.

That was my intension, I also have to reprint it because of the heating (fan). :-)
I'm working on the feedback now, I wanna make feedback on the joints without changing to many things of the already printed parts. I have a few followers how wanna make my modified model, so by the end of the week I'm gonna make a compleet pack with the latest changes included. I'm almost so far to build mine one also to the top.
It will be included the gripper with the led neoring build on it.
I only have one additional option to bring all the wires on a slip ring. It's hard to get it without ordering it at china.

I simulated the models. 3.5, 8.5 and 2.5 hour print jobs.

Combined 14.5 hours. The original model was 19 hours!

These models come within the reach of mere common people :-)
