A major inspiration for this build was Worldspace - a satellite radio service in the 00's era.The idea of web radio player had been on my mind ever since I saw a 'WorldSpace' player playing great music 24/7. The service closed down before I could ever lay hands on it and thus I decided to build my own world radio streamer. I have used speakers salvaged from an old damaged bluetooth speakers. The box is made up of pine wood strips glued together. As this is my first ever woodworking project, there are obvious errors I made in getting the cuts right but that is something I can live with. The speakers are rated at 5w, 4ohms and has a PAM2038 amplifier driving it. I have used a 18650 li-ion battery with TP4056 charing module combined with a MT3608 dc-dc boost converter supplying 5V to the Amp. The brains running it is a raspberry zero w with a Pimoroni phat dac. Pi Music Box is the pre-built s/w streaming world radio and music through NAS. It also supports other input source
