Frown-outs:

- Windows 10 Explorer search bug (making it hard to search my cache of datasheets) -- and the months to fix it.

- Temp controlled soldering iron that died mysteriously.

- New iron with a fail-dangerous controller (and incompatible connectors and tips).  When the temp sensor connection fails: it sets the heater to full-on, and the tip gives off a dark red glow (above 460C?)

- Badly written hardware datasheets -- resorting to incomplete / non-applicable / out of date forum posts

- Modules that say they support a feature -- but the kernel driver doesn't.

- Online only docs that don't say what version they are for -- and don't match the installed version.

- PulseAudio: 1GB install?! Issues with playback/recording that change when run with sudo. (But easier than other options?)

- A malfunctioning USB device can lock up things in Windows: networking, performance charts in Task Manager. (with no warning about a usb malfunction)

- Linux dhcp client incompatible with Windows dhcp service (two wrongs don't make a right -- do I seriously need to write my own dhcp client?)

- Maker discouragement policies: binary blobs, undocumented APIs, copyrighted APIs.

- LiPo battery swelling (after you left the seller a review)

- Bad capacitors!
