Door, window, and motion data is continually captured by home security systems which reflects the movement of people into and around the house. Of course, normally this data is used for security monitoring purposes but here the goal is using machine learning and this data to reliably predict patterns of people movement around the house that would trigger appropriate actions automatically. This system was built using a reference design called Alexa Lambda Linux (ALL).
