TDA7294 description
TDA7294 integrated circuit is an IC made of group of circuit which is manufactured in a single piece of silicon which is called monolithic. It main function is use in class AB amplifier in HI-FI application. The multiwatt15 package gives it ability to handle more power than one made in TO-220 or TO3 cases. It has a wide range of voltage and high out current it can supply highest power for both 4W and 8W loads. The supply of power can even happen during poor supply regulation and high supply voltage rejection.
TDA7294 amplifier can operate at 80 V voltage supply delivering an output current of ±10 A due to it monolithic characteristic. The application in class AB amplifier is because its combined advantage of class A and B where it minimizes the problems of distortion and low efficiency associated with them.

Working principle of TDA7294

Input resistor is connected on the non-inverting terminal; on the inverting terminal another resistor is connected. Another resistor which as a feedback is connected between the output and inverting terminals and it decides the loop gain of the amplifier. On the mute terminal registrar and a capacitor are connected in parallel which are used for deciding mute time constant.

Application of TDA7294

It is mostly used in components circuits that require amplification to have high efficiency and high power.

Bridge application circuit – two TDA7294 manage output signal, the load value for this configuration must not be lower than 8 Ohms. The advantages of bridge configuration amplifier are high power with low voltage and large amount of output power even when load value (8 Ohms) is high.

Other applications for TDA7294 are HI-FI, Subwoofer, Audio class AB amplifier and many other audio related applications
