I used an esp8266 to gather remote codes and then output them with ir. Through coding it works with alexa to make my tv and stereo voice controllable. The circuit consists of the esp8266, an ir led and a pn2222 transistor to get further distance for the led.

Any progress with your project?

I not good at programming but I will love to use a "TV adapter" to turn on and off my TV using Alexa. Keep me posted please.
