Dang it got ugly and stayed ugly. 

My wire insulation is taking on a green hue.

Copper transfer seemed to have stopped and if its algae it's a robust algae, more likely is just sludge not getting filtered out and the air in the water oxidizing the copper that transferred. Similar sludge on buckets walls makes me question my algae theory.

LED leads are showing a direct short now. Copper transfer worked to a point. 

When in solution I am getting 150 ohm resistance between anode and cathode as soon as my leads touch the water.

Also, when exploring my LEDs one just crumbled off in my hands. I'm guessing in my voltage mixup i managed to transfer copper away from my LED legs.
