Hi, yes, the MT3608 is a boost converter IC, but it's possible to build a non-inverting buck/boost converter out of almost any boost converter by using the SEPIC configuration which requires a second inductor. For a more in-depth explanation refer to: http://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/SLVA337
