I would like to ask for advice about an idea I’m developing.
I’m thinking about creating a low-cost audio processing system for music lovers. The device would have two audio inputs and four outputs, and a desktop application would allow users to configure the device and apply audio processing such as:
Equalizers to correct the sound for the four outputs
Limiters to protect amplifiers and speakers
High-pass / low-pass filters (Butterworth, Bessel, etc.) for crossover applications
Routing options: L / R / L + R
I am planning to add a USB interface for communication with a computer.
For audio connections, I’m considering using screw terminal blocks with balanced audio connections.
On the front panel, I would like to include:
VU meters for the inputs
Four push buttons for quick mute control
LEDs for clip / mute / signal status
One challenge I’m currently facing is implementing delay due to the DSP limitations.
