The table shows some of the Cisco WAN modules and their main characteristics, such as FRGA type, memory chip, etc:

It was possible to collect a collection of Cisco WAN modules, though it took a lot of time, but little money. Each module on eBay costs from 3$ to 15$, because they aren't used in modern networks.

In the section Files you can find files with the pinout of the Edge connector and SSRAM.

I'd love to find a way to use my VA-DSL-A as a standalone modem as I need something with lower power consumption AND a small form factor. No one makes an ADSL2/VDSL modem in such a small package that I'm aware of. :/
If OP is interested and can find one cheap like I did (around $11 shipped) I would love to know the pinout, and find out if that's possible!
