TENEX - Solid State Volumetric OLED Display

Description

Transparent displays on their own are already just "cool", but if you stack a bunch of them together you create something even cooler. Combine that with your favourite microcontroller, and you have yourself a Volumetric display for that awesome retro cyberpunk look. Have a look at TENEX a 128x56x10 pixel Volumetric Display.

Seriously, video production and hacking are two independent skills, and only occasionally do you get someone who is willing to both strap his device and a camera to a wooden plank *and* setup a separate camera to record him waving it around.

I am so absolutely going to use a transparent OLED in a shape like this for my #LZRTag - Flexible DIY Lasertag project.
Having a HUD or something similar like this would be awesome!
Maybe not 10 of them, but I still love the idea of having this volumetric feeling, how the image is almost 3D :>
