Description

I needed a simple solution to test brushless ESC's for repairs. So I made one. I found a video of someone using 3 lightbulbs to test a brushless ESC. I made this with 3 led strips instead of lightbulbs and the result was the same. From there on I got help from a friend and he pointed out that with these 3 led strips I could only see either the high or low phase of the esc under test. I added 3 more led strips in reverse and created the first version of my simple esc tester. Ofcourse this was nice, but it had wires everywhere and was not really portable. My friend and I created a schematic and PCB in Kicad. I ordered the PCB at OSHPark.com and there we go, a simple esc tester. Check the github link for more information. See the photo's and videos on instagram for how it works. Want one for yourself? You can order 3 boards for only €2.20 at OSHPark.com https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/xSDHzsAY You will need: 6x LED 1210 footprint 3x Resistor 1206
