While cycling to work and back I have discovered an abandoned vintage bicycle. It was locked to a cycle rack in front of an apartment block. It already had an orange warning tag on it: "To the owner: Remove it, before we are removing it."

Every day, cycling by and spotting the poor bicycle, I thougt it was a shame.

One day in summer 2020, my girlfriend and I stopped by and started to talk about the METEOR (it has decals showing "METEOR", so we call it the same way).
Suddenly, one of the houses residents looked down from his balcony, asking: "Are you interested in it? Wait..", and half a minute later he throwed down the key for the bicycle lock. What a spontaneous gift!
Early the next morning we came for the METEOR and brought it to our shed, as my next "Coronatime-winter-DIY-project".
So far the story before I've started the rebuild.
