perhaps, at some point you have been in same situation - both at homeoffice your partner is in (conference) call, but you don`t know about:

"my daaaaarling....did you feed the cat today?"
"shut up, sweetheart - lucky i`m just on mute in a conference call"
"...oops, sorry...i don`t know about"

with this little tool, you can declare your state (with a fingertouch) and at same time get the state from partner within two coloured light stripes. communication is via 2.4Ghz (not wlan)

declaration:

  • light at left = partner
  • light at right  = yourself

color:

  • green = "could contact me anytime"
  • yellow = "hurry up, i`ll be busy right away"
  • red = "please don`t disturb"

the electronic part is using only 3 pieces for minimalism so it`s absolute easy to connect the few (6) electric wires and usb cable for power supply (and or initial programming).

the cad-design was made with an older free Version (8) of Sketchup and exported to stl-file via free plugin. i wanted to have a nice looking but also useful housing for the electronics, which is what the molded part results from.

only for nice looking, better haptical feeling and higher weight (125grams) my execution was done with a poured concrete housing together with printed 3D parts - this is a little laborious but of course you can 3D print all of the parts
