wow, what an awesome use of hatched ground plane!

Thanks, I've used it before on flex rigid boards and really liked the look and feel of the hatched plane. The first revision of the first plane used regular filled planes, but this looked way better in my opinion. Glad I'm not the only one 😁

haha, me is the opposite, during my internship at Solarbotics my boss Dave really love hatched ground plane and I really didn't like them. We had good laugh! In our case it was also for aesthetic reason. Have you tried different fab house for mat black. I know they have different process and some are really nice looking. Go on youtube and check for video " SDG #188 JLCPCB or PCBWay's Black PCBs?"

I'd love to pick one up! I have a shelf full of blinky things and this would be a great addition.

Unfortunately, it looks like it's sold out. And shipping to the US is insane: $22 on a $3 kit?

Sadly the shipping prices are terrible when shipping outside the EU from Belgium. I'm looking for better alternatives, but shipping from Belgium is expensive (shipping the same thing from the Netherlands would only cost half for example...) I'm looking for a solution. There might be a cheaper solution when I can limit the weight to <150grams (or max 6 kits) so I can lower the shipping costs to approx. $14~$15. In the mean time I've added more stock of the SR-71 kit.

I bit the bullet on the shipping. Thanks!
