Today, I figure out what motor to use for my molding machine project and here it is:

High Torque Nema 23 CNC Stepper Motor 114mm 425oz.in/3Nm CNC Mill Lathe Router

    Amazon Link: https://amzn.to/3jdBR92

Or this one including the driver:

Might need two motors, one for the screw and one for the molding movement.

  • The very first parts

Today I figured out where I can buy the injection screw and nozzle set. Here is the link:

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000741158080.html

I also think the size of 20mm diameter screw is good enough for a desktop plastic injection machine.

So basically, these are the very first parts that my injection machine will need:

    - 1 x 20mm Diameter Extruder Screw

    - 1 x Barrel

    - 3 x 40x40mm 150W 220V Band Heater. Maximum temperature: 450℃.

    - 3 x K-Type Thermocouples Sensor

    - 1 x 2.5mm Nozzle, they are selling 3 sizes: 1.75, 2.5 & 3mm.
