- D-type stereo amplifier board 2x20 W

- Mixing console Behringer 302USB

- Car speakers 13cm

The frame of the synthesizer is assembled on screws from aluminum and plastic corners 1000 mm long, bought in the stores of Leroy Merlin, Castorama and the like.

Used aluminum corners 50x50x1000 mm, 20x40x1000 mm, PVC corners 20x30x1000 mm.

There is a minimum of cutting operations.
Of course, it would be a more advanced approach to order a CNC cutting of a 4 mm aluminum composite body, but it would still have to be reinforced with corners.

Also used aluminum tubes with a diameter of 10mm

I'm closing the Tektonika project because I got everything I wanted from it.

In parallel, he created a synthesizer project, the name of which has not yet been invented. It will be structurally based on Tektonika, but the management and technology have been heavily redesigned in order to get away from the "Kolhoz" (Collective farm).
My last steps in the project were pairing the levels of the Behringer mixer (which I treated cruelly) and trying to play the instrument)))
It turned out that it was necessary to work on eliminating the resonances of the diffusers and the structure.
The frame structure itself, which I invented, almost does not cause any complaints from me and will be used in the new project with almost no changes.

Having once again taken up the alteration and examined the almost finished device, I thought that it looks like Kolkhoz (Collective Farm).

So they say in our places about something too DIY)))
I decided to make the upper part of a dark milled composite, into which to paste cards (yes, using the technology of bank cards and business cards) with the designations of the controls. The prototype was made at home on an inkjet printer and laminated with a matte film.

I made a reliable keyboard clamp and hung the synthesizer on the wall, to decorate which it was made :)))

I will still adjust and ennoble the device, but you can post photos now)

All parts and blocks cost me about $600-700, while a proprietary workstation costs $2500-4000, it has a smaller display and one hard-wired software.

Today I assembled the system in the most complete electronic configuration and played a little on the synthesizer)))

The surprise was the huge sensitivity of the power amplifier, I will think about what to do with it.
I had to turn all the controls down.
The experience of printing decorative elements in a photo studio turned out to be unsuccessful, I had to take out my printer, buy cartridges, regular and self-adhesive films, maybe I will also have to buy a laminator. Printing went well.

Almost finished the left control panel, the photo gives an idea of how it should look like.

When printing self-adhesives (in a regular photo studio), they made a big mistake in size, although I output it in PDF.
    The lamination doesn't work well...
Apparently, it is worth making the project collective, perhaps someone will make a drawing of the left panel for 3D printing.
I don't have this kind of design yet...

Yesterday I painted the front decor of the mixer compartment. I will print in a printing house with lamination and self-adhesive underside.
I assembled the whole system to test the operation of the mixer from a USB hub and a USB OTG port. Soldered two cables - USB3.0 in an angular configuration, and USB OTG.
In general, the synthesizer, in breadboard form, works great, the mixing console works with both the hub and the USB OTG port)))
An unpleasant nuance came to light - when the hub is connected to the USB3.0 port of the tablet, the voltage of 5 volts goes to the 12 volt line, and feeds the power amplifier and everything else from the tablet!
I understood why. The current passes through the MOSFET protection diode of the pulsed DC/DC step-down powering the hub electronics.
It is necessary to put a Schottky diode in the 12 volt power supply circuit of the USB3.0 hub, for decoupling.
Thanks to the tablet and the hub for enduring!

As work on the device crossed the equator, I began to think about the interface, microphone amplifier, headphones, mixing signals and switching it all.

It was also necessary to come up with a design.
All this made me sad until I suddenly realized that there are devices that combine these functions.
    And called mixing consoles.
I quickly found a suitable model and I hope it will close my problems (except for happiness and money)))
Model and photo will be added in the next few minutes.

Revised the place of the power amplifier board.

Powered up the USB Hub and the tablet from "non-native" sources.
Unfortunately, I can allocate one day a week for these classes, the process is slow...
In addition, I tested the sound subsystem - speakers and D-class amplifier. Everything works, but the feeling of the predominance of medium and high frequencies.
In addition, the 13cm speakers are possibly redundant.
This is a consequence of the lack of a clear understanding of what the unit is made for - quiet home music making or playing at a noisy party)))

At first, it was supposed to use the ACJS-MVD985-5 dual connector as audio connectors. However, this connector turned out to be quite rare and expensive. First of all, rare, I put up with the price)))
So now I put separate nests.
