Battery Breakout Board Rev.1

A project log for DJI FPV - Battery Breakout Mod [1]: First Tests

I'm trying to mod/recreate the DJI FPV battery to use regular 6S lipo batteries. In a first attempt I try to replace the lipo cells.

Just a little teaser ...
(Don't judge me to hard, it's my first PCB...)

But before rev1 is fully assembled, rev1.1 is already in the planning stage.

Oh I was about to start exactly the same project but for DJI FPV Avata, however this may work for Avata as well, maybe with small changes will see (I am very lazy) :D But As I can see now it is a lot of effort to do this. However with right LiIon cells it would be possible to significantly increase the Avatas flight times for the fraction of original battery price. I am gonna track this project ... :D great job by the way ...

The Avata also appears to be using DUML messages to communicate with the drone. So it may be that only the communication interface needs to be changed. The FPV Racer uses RS-485, but the Avata seems to use something else. Unfortunately I don't have an Avata to check it ^^
