The perfect clamp

How to attach cables to the desk which shall not be clamped

Similar projects worth following

The lion kingdom decided to get serious about organizing cables.  1st to go were the cables on a difficult desk.  The desk had an inset beam & very slippery surface.  While it was a hard shape to fit the clamp around, the beam kept the clamp from sliding off.  It proved the concept of 3D printing clamps for managing cables.

The other things which need to be clamped to tables are raspberry pi's.

Another clamp for a straight panels came along. It wasn't as assertive as the zigzag desk because it enclosed 180 deg instead of 270 deg.  It can't adjust to a wide range of PLA creep because of a limited range of motion of the bolt.  It might work better with the bolt plunging straight into the panel.   It also grips better with a scrap of rubber stuffed in the jaw.

The final problem desks involve very thick panels.

After 4 years of a sagging clamp, finally managed a more assertive design.  This one can handle PLA creep while still navigating the table's tricky edge.

The mane problem is the length of the bolts being dictated by the table edge.
