Example Project 5 - 3x3x3 LED cube | Details

Inspired by Daves comment below i started a 3x3x3 smd LED (0603 *holy crap*) cube.

I created the circuit according to this website:

I didn't check out the SW until now, but it works realy nice :-) I like it!

But at first i found some distraction by soldering the LED Cube ... about 3h.

Please take a look at my video. I will add a better one soon.

Remarks: At the moment the cube is driven by the Arduino uno board ... i forgot my trusty AVRISP MKII at an other place :-/

Result: I'm not the best person to solder LED-Cubes... I think without further preparation 3x3x3 is my limit :-/

Yeah you did it! that looks great! I used 2mm thick copper wire for the frame and it looks terribly off shape :D good to know that software I write will work somewhere else too..

Are you serious? 2mm Copper Wire? :-D
I used 0.5mm...

They aren't straightened either. I tried not to overkill and just make something that works.

So any chance you thought about new animations? I saw a waving plane once, that looked cool.

The Layers where changed by me to show the pyramid upright ;-)
