Riegel is an FPGA computer designed for "timeless" applications like reading, writing, math, education, organization, communication, automation, etc.

Riegel is based on the ICE40HX4K FPGA and has up to 64MB PSRAM, 512KB SRAM, a MicroSD card slot and a user-replaceable flash module. It can be expanded via 2 PMOD sockets.

It's a stand-alone computer that only needs a VGA monitor, PS/2 keyboard and a USB-C cable to supply power. There's also a USB host module available that allows the use of a USB keyboard and an HDMI/DVI module is under development.

There is an open-source 32-bit RISC-V System-on-a-Chip designed specifically for Riegel hardware that runs at 64MHz and allows users to run apps from a MicroSD card.

Riegel was designed by Lone Dynamics Corporation, and is available for sale along with cases and modules on machdyne.com.
