PS4 portable CONSole gaming playstation 3d printing lasercutting

This project was created on 05/23/2022 and last updated 15 days ago.

Description

It's been a couple of years since I built my PS4 inside a briefcase and I decided to take it to the next level.
This time I wanted a decent size screen so I went with a 24" IPS display panel and designed the casing around that.
The screen came with built in audio so I leveraged that as well. Sound quality is not that good, but it's better than none at all and if you'd like to use a headset then there is USB available at the front of the unit.

The casing is made out of 3D printed brackets and laser cut acrylic. Everything is neatly kept into place with plenty of screws.
In order to move it around more easily I found a foam padded carying case that fits around it like a glove.

It's a solid unit that looks great (if I may say so myself) and it works very well.
Cooling still seems function as needed which I tested by running Call of Duty non-stop for a couple of hours.

Make sure to take a look at the impression video.
