Even though I don't spend a lot of time on TikTok myself, I thought this would be a cool challenge to tackle: Playing TikTok videos on the ESP32. In all, this project took me four months to complete from start to finish
On a high level, the idea is simple. Use an unofficial API to get videos from TikTok. Then stream those videos from my PC to the ESP32.
On a more technical level, there was so many challenges that I faced. First off, I learned about the dangers of using an unofficial API and how it could break at any moment. Also, figuring out how to play audio and video in sync together was another big challenge. This was almost my first project using LCD's, so there was a lot of new elements and terminology to understand as well.
That sounds like an impressive project! Syncing audio and video on an ESP32 with an unofficial TikTok API is no small feat.
