RGB Glockenspiel light alarm

Description

Yes, this is another hacked RGB-Strip from IKEA. I didn't like that you couldn't dim the light with the original controller. Thats why i connected the MOSFETs in the controller with an Arduino clone.

I added an PS/2 connector to interface with an old mouse as a new controller. There is also an connection to a router's serial debug port, because i didn't have an RTC. The router has a cron-deamon running, which triggers the alarm. When the "wake up"-signal is received, it very slowly dims-up the light, simulating a sunrise.

It also rotates the strip from a back-light-position into a direct shine-into-my-eyes-position (it is installed above my bed). At the end, if i should still be asleep, it activates a small glockenspiel, playing "Das klinget so herrlich" from Mozarts Magic Flute, regulated quite smoothly, as if it had an mechanical drive.

Project is quite done, i'm not gonna prettify, although it obviously has been patched up with parts i had lying around.

As i said, i'm quite finished with this, although i still got some issues with the servo, but right now i'm too lazy and i am not up to troubleshoot this.

BTW, if you don't know Mozarts Magic Flute, i found a youtube video of someone else where you can listen to the melody of the glockenspiel.

The Seeeduino drives the glockenspiel with varying speed, just as if it had a mechanical drive like the old musical boxes had.

I made a control program in Processing, which connects to the Router via Telnet and sends commands to the Alarm.

1 × RGB strip from IKEA 4 solid bars connected together in one long strip. can be rotated
1 × small glockenspiel with a small crank for manual mode. plays "das klinget so herrlich" from Mozart's Magic Flute.
1 × standard RC-style Servo to rotate the light
1 × Seeeduino v2.21 Arduino clone with atmega168
1 × PS/2-Mouse with three buttons and Mousewheel the middleclickwheel is just perfect as a RGB-controller
