This project was created on 10/03/2022 and last updated 3 年前.

Description

I firstly used blender to sketch a few ideas of how i wanted the trophy to look before i chose a final design.

when i had a sketch, i started creating the model around an encasting for the power source (9V bat), PCB and wires. eventually i reached a point where i had to 3D-Print it.

Then came the centerpiece, putting a little lazercut piece of wood covered in parralel SMD LED´s, hovering on the inside of a bulb. this was a major pain, as i firstly had to open and empty the inside of a lightbulb, without it exploding... this was the most expensive part of the project.

after the sign was mounted and epoxyéd stuck to the inside, the bulb was then attached to the 3D-Print, and this was the first time the LED´s was tested on the basic 555 breathing LED circuit.

Finally i felt confident assembling the entire thing, with a very pleasing final resoult.
