Compared to my Phalanx and Ameise projects, the goal with this project was rather straightforward. Make something similar to Phalanx, but with chonky tubes. IV-12 fits the bill perfectly for this, and is probably the device I ended up using most for myself.

The PCB

One unique property of the IV-12 is that the tubes are easily replaceable thanks to the Harwin H3161-01 sockets. All other tubes I've used until now have had soft leads which were directly soldered to the board. Whenever a tube breaks on Noctiluca, I'll be able to swap it out immediately.

The Firmware

Very simple! It can use similar code for driving the display as Phalanx, but the tubes were reversed, and there's no dot character to worry about.

The Case

STL can be found in the downloads section.

There's space for M3 screw brass threaded inserts, which are used to hold everything together.
