Components sourced from Ebay. Total component cost for 10 units is less than 5 USD each (excluding MPU6050, which is 4 USD). Just tie RF24 library and I2CDev's MPU6050 library together with a simple message protocol to do command and control. Source code on request, as it's going to be refined for other projects. Estimated 10h battery life.

Sorry, not a complete product. Search Ebay for component names and you can make your own! I'll gladly send you my crappy code when you do. I'm currently more focussed on solutions with ESP8266 that recharge from solar.

It's a building block for more wireless sensors. I'm trying to come up with a general framework for these kind of sensor nodes. Going to make them more energy efficient too. The primary goal is low-cost and modularity so that it's hacker-friendly.

I'm going to make an army of these and work on smart homes. Datalogging seems a primary category of this specific node. The current sensor is easily swapped out for something else.
