I have created code for both SmartThings and the Particle Photon to enable integration for my home theater. The main idea originally was for the home theater lights to be controlled with play, pause and stop on Kodi. This was fairly easy, but I took the experience a little further and integrated the lights to flash when Notre Dame or the Chicago Bears score touchdowns (I know it didn't happen much this season for the Bears). Additionally I live in the midwest and I have the lights alert me if there is in-climate weather headed our way. The project was fun and has been a work in progress for quite some time. I just recently finalized the last pieces of functionality and feel it is a rather complete project.
