Additionally to MicroPython, the Meshtastic firmware can now be installed and run on the board. We have created the required files for our specific variant and maked a Pull requests. Today, a few nodes are in permanently running as sensors, clients, etc. The next step will be to generate all necessary files to make our board available via the official Meshtastic Web Flasher, so users can always get the latest firmware easily.

General information: Meshtastic is an open-source project that enables long-range, low-power communication using LoRa radios. It allows devices to form a decentralized mesh network, making it possible to send text messages, GPS locations, and sensor data without relying on cellular networks or Wi-Fi. Typical use cases include off-grid communication for outdoor adventures, disaster recovery scenarios, remote sensor monitoring, and connecting devices in rural or infrastructure-poor areas. The firmware is available for various hardware platforms, and its active community continuously expands its features and integrations.
