Pictures of the Assembled PCB for the LoRaTube V3

A project log for LoRaTube

A compact and rugged LoRa repeater designed for long-range communication and 5+ years of off-grid operation using only alkaline batteries.

Here are some photos I received this morning of the assembled PCB, manufactured by PCBWay.

This is version V3. All related files are available in the project repository.

It’s a cool moment to see the physical board assembled. The result looks very nice.

I’ll post a more detailed log with first debugs/tests as soon as I receive the board in hand.

I don't no why but I can't put new photos on my log. So, please find the following links : https://github.com/Bertrand-selvasystems/pictures_PCB_loratube/blob/main/

Hi Christoph,

Good to hear from you.
Indeed, it’s getting real: I’ll start the bring-up phase as soon as I receive the board.
I’m cautiously optimistic, even though a first board never works perfectly right away.

You’re right about the versions — my logs aren’t exhaustive.
I’ll publish a new log over the weekend with version 3 of the schematic, as well as version 3 of the Gerber and BOM corresponding to the manufactured board.
Version 1 is now definitely obsolete (MCU change) and V2 was an evolution of the current design.

If you’d like to share feedback during this debugging and iteration phase, feel free to do so.

Regards,
Bertrand

Hi Bertrand,

It's nice to see your project finally getting real. :-).  I hope it will all work fine.

I'm confused though with the versioning used on this project:

* The log on the schematic description : the title of the page is LoRaTube V2.

* the version on the schematic is 1.0, on the log with the schematic description.

* The PCB version shown on the 3D render is LoRaTube V1.

* The pictures of the actual prototypes have LoRaTube V3 on them.
