Very simple laboratory devices, like a rocker, which is essentially a motor with some mechanical parts, cost an unjustifiable amount of money(100 -500 USD). Here I describe a 3D printed version which uses cheap, off-the-shelf robotics parts and a 555 timer driven PWM circuit for speed control.
