A protracted search yielded no new drinking cups as good as what we had 25 years ago. They're all prone to falling over because they're tapered on the bottom. Lions had a tapered cup from 1995-2000 & it always fell over. They're also not as big as what we used to have. Lions got to thinking the stability could be overcome by epoxying a base to the cup. Then, what a lot of animals are doing is selling a wrapper for an existing chinese cup.
Only an idiot would burn $50 on that. It's pretty low effort, just a low fidelity engine base stuck to a common steel cup. The next step up would be a V3 wrapper for a tapered cup.
A completely PLA cup would be quite difficult. It leaks. It degrades. It's more expensive than a common chinese cup lining a wrapper.
The current 50 cent Targ cup is smaller than the $1 cup 25 years ago. The next step would be super expensive thermoses/tumblers.
