The only difference compared to a regular sand rose is the “mikado” stem, that need to stand up in the middle of the chocolate and flakes mixtures while it cools down. So you need some kind od structure to keep everything together

I came up with the a solution where are 3 different parts to print:

  • the tray
  • the supports
  • the collars (x16)
tray and supports

Instead of using some kind of “cup” to hold the mixture, I use a “collar” which will is easier to remove without breaking the rose.

I used PETG because it is more food friendly than PLA

Concerning the recipe, here is what you’ll need :

  • 150g dark cooking chcolate
  • 100g butter
  • 100g regular corn flakes (not sugar coated)
  • mikados, or whatever they are called in your country

melt the chocolate and the butter, and then add the corn flakes.

Pour the mixture in all the « flower molds» it will make them more stable as well.
You can use the remaining mixture to make regular sand roses

Now, just make some room in your fridge and leave it there for several hours.

It's ready!
I hope and your special someone will enjoy this project!
