I purchased a vintage Bell 80-513 SBC a long time ago. It has a NMOS 6502, 1kbyte RAM (2x 2114) and a 2716 EPROM. Can we get BASIC running?
Tom Pittman's Tiny BASIC used the Intermediate Language (IL) approach as specified in the Dr Dobbs, and is about 2.5kbytes plus patches and code for Serial IO routines. Can we write our own in 2kbytes and include Serial I/O?
Yes we can! See Github Page for source.
To try it in a browser with a showcase demo populated in RAM
