Brew and mix your own green flavored fermented tea beverage.

A homemade and much less expensive option to store bought Kombucha.

For a gallon batch, you will be needing:

  • 13-14 cupos of water
  • 2 cups of vinegar (or use your starter tea)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 8 tea bags of green or black tea or 2 tablespoons of loose leaf tea

  • 1 × 1 Gallon Glass Jar Glass jar with large opening to brew the tea.
  • 1 × Unbleached Sugar Bag To aid in the fermentation process.
  • 1 × Green Tea + Empty Tea Bags This is what will turn into magic. Either loose leaf with a filter or tea bags.
  • 1 × Spirulina Powder Green algae that adds flavor and nutrients.
  • 1 × Rubber Band Big enough to fit the opening ring of the 1 gallon glass jar.

Ok. Here we go. Let's build some kombucha. Get your stuff together. We will start with the gallon-sized glass jar, the stirring utensil, the cloth, rubber band, and a 4 quart (1 gallon) pot.

Also get together the ingredients for brewing tea: clean water, sugar, tea bags/loose leaf tea, distilled white vinegar (or "starter tea"), and a SCOBY that is hydrated.
