On April 22nd, Hackaday communities around the world are coming together to create tech solutions for social change. Join us at Noisebridge for a Bay Area edition of our worldwide brainstorming session, Hackaday World Create Day!

The Goal:

Form a team (or work on your own) and submit a project to the Hackaday Prize Design Your Concept challenge. Check out the challenge details here.

The Agenda:

The afternoon kicks off with introductions and a quick brief about the day's objectives. Then we'll form our teams, brainstorm and create our proposals according to the Design Your Concept entry requirements.

Afterward, we'll share our ideas and feedback in a round of lightning pitches. Finally, we'll wrap up by submitting our project ideas to the Hackaday Prize Design Your Concept challenge!

If there ever was a perfect time to get rolling on that idea you've been kicking around, to learn something new, and meet other awesome, inventive people... that time is now! Come create with us on April 22nd!

What to Bring:

• Your laptop and charger

• Pen and paper

• A brain ready to generate ideas

Need some inspiration for your project? Here are some ideas:

IUT! IoT (Internet of Useful Things) - The Internet of Useful Things showcases a way to build a better tomorrow with the data you track and analyze. Prevent sick cattle and livestock with an IoT Farm, create a way for denizens to find clean well water in rural villages, or reduce energy waste in a smart home.

Wheels, Wings, and Walkers - Movement and support for things that help move humanity forward are the objectives of your project. Wheelchairs, environmental drones, kickass bicycles for all shapes and sizes- these are the things to think about.

Assistive technologies - Build a project that helps others move better, see better, or live better. Imagine custom-fit eco-friendly respiratory masks, reliable utensils for the disabled, or refreshable braille displays for image text. Turn 'disability' into 'this ability'.

• Or any other idea you have to hack for social change! Leverage your talent and find solutions to address technology issues facing humanity today.
