As described in the details the Cube is based on Arduino and Raspberry Pi and features a modular design. The following concept chart shows how the Hardware is built (it is not complete. i am using additional wires for synchronization purposes. You will see this in the upcoming wiring diagram)

The raspberry pi is connected to either the web browser of a mobile or the desktop application device via Wifi and sends it commands to the embedded software via RS232. The Atmega644P (with Arduino) decodes the packages and and distributes the data to the other Arduinos (Atmega48P) that control the anodes of 5x5 RGB lets. Additionally the Atmega644P controls the cathodes of the cube using multiplexing
