Putting WiFi into condoms to revolutionize our sex lives

Okay, so we need to find a way to destroy the condom effectively and swiftly. Why?

We've got a few possibilities:

Vishay e-mails

Soo we sent a well-thought email to Vishay, clearly explaining our motivations and the final aim of our project:

Dear Sir, dear Madam

I'm writing to you to express our interest in the EPIC and MEPIC igniters.
We're hobbyists from Europe developing miniature pyrotechnic devices for recreational purposes (i.e. small-scale remotely-operated fireworks), and the (M)EPIC igniters seem like an easy way to implement a reliable, reproducible ignition source in an extremely small package.
Can you please give us more information on the pricing and availability of those components? We've tried looking into local distributors, they don't seem to stock those parts.

Best regards,

To which they promptly answered:

Good morning,

Thank you for your inquiry and interested to Vishay solutions and to become direct supply customer with your demands.

you could check distribution stock on our website:

http://www.vishay.com/search?query=mepic*&type=inv&search-inventory-submit.x=37&search-inventory-submit.y=7

For EPIC I can`t found stock, sorry.

You can use this datasheet link when communication with your chosen distribution partner:

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards

I believe you can safely 'blow up' a condom with the following chemical reaction:

NaHCO3 + CH3COOH → CH3COONa + H2O + CO2(g)

Yaaaay! We can turn it into a baking soda and vinegar volcano! :D

Can I just point out I carry mine in my pocket, close to my valuables. I dont get a lot of action as it is, I dont fancy my chances expiring with the condom lol.

That reminds us that a portable ("wearable") version is on the roadmap.

My thought was a dye in a container that fails naturally over time, ruining the condom before it reaches its expiry. No need for extra work to mechanically destroy the condom and endanger one's Best Friend with explosives...

If I opened the damn thing after ignoring the frantic beeping to discover it was covered in something that didnt 'come off' easily I would not put it anywhere near my dongle.

Just a thought. ;-)

Use the LiIon battery as secondary charge. Flames from a vented, shorted cell should be enough...

Which answers by the affirmative the question that was asked : "can you use a relay to destroy a condom ?" (the relay must have enough current rating though, maybe a very high power MOSFET will do too)

Other methods can include chemical reactions (something to generate a strong acid to pierce the plastic, aluminium, etc.), pure heat (soldering iron tip ?)... what else ?
