Tessel listens for a clap, then toggles a relay to turn something on and off. You can see full photo instructions here: https://projects.tessel.io/projects/tessel-clap-switch. But you probably don't need full photo instructions. It's pretty simple. It also has a link to the (~20 lines of) code.
