This my try to turn a TI92 as regular serial term (TTL RX/TX) using an Arduino
(still in prgress...)

This project has 2 facets : Arduino to TI protocol & Serial Term ASM program for the TI92.

Note that as it is a -1st version- of the TI92, it doesn't run ASM programs directly, so I had to implement patched backup file (FARGO & .92b) sending to TI (it took me a while).

Now I use the arduino to send backups, send SerialTerm Application & use as SerialTerm "cable" to adapt TI protocol to Serial protocol (RX/TX TTL)

  • 1 × TI92 (even version 1)
  • 1 × Arduino UNO -or- ProMini 5v 16MHz
  • 1 × Raspberry PI 0w

    Step 1

This is how I received my out-of-order TI, it was dusty & oxide...

I started to disassemble mother board & clean it with white vinegar...

    Step 2

I checked for the batteries crossing line, found the +5vcc & choosed a GND from anywhere on the motherboard, then soldered a micro-usb plug to POWER it again

    Step 3

    TI - USB powered... It's ALIVE !!!
