The TickerTap will house a microcontroller (Arduino Pro Mini at the moment) that will read a set of configuration parameters from a microSD card.  The parameters tell the TickerTap what message to display, how often to display it, and how fast to scroll the message.  The TickerTap will be powered by a 2000mAh LiPo.  I would like this battery to be as large as possible for maximum battery life.  There is also a LiPo charging circuit and boost regulator inside.

A future enhancement would be to add Bluetooth to each module so that I can remove the microSD card and use a smartphone to download running parameters.  I would also like to use the Bluetooth to coordinate multiple TickerTaps together to have one message periodically scroll across several TickerTaps in sequence.
