We are a public library in a rural ski town in Mammoth Lakes, California. We are at an elevation of 7,880 ft. with plenty of open blue sky.

You should never look at a Solar Eclipse without the use of SPECIAL VIEWING GLASSES. The Mammoth Lakes Library will have free Hackaday eclipse viewing glasses for safe viewing of the Solar Eclipse. ~While supplies last!

This is a total eclipse of the sun however; in California we will only see a partial eclipse peaking at 10:20 am. There will not be another solar eclipse in California until 2045.
