The main structure of the robot is a 5' tall plastic skeleton cut down to 4' tall. The robot has 9 servos. 6 servos operate the left and right shoulders elbows and wrist. One servo runs his mouth, one turns his head and one moves his right ankle . There are RGB led lights in his eye sockets and small dc motor with a counter weight which makes the robot shake. I used Visuino Software to program the robot

just saw this searching for how to automate my home depot skeleton.  Great job.   I'm curious on the shoulder joint.  Is that a custom piece that the connector rod us attached to?  Also how is it that moving that piece moves the shoulder?  Are some of the parts glue together? Starting from inside the body, I see a nut, a locking washer, connector rod assembly with a spring for added tension, two more nuts, and finally the bearing.  Trying to figure out out these are connected and move the actual arm?

It's awesome seeing this project come together, soon he'll be walking around scaring the dog or cat in the house.

I really appreciate the solid mechanical design you are doing there — all servos using push rods and separate bearings and everything. I've been guilty of abusing servos as hinges myself so many times, it's nice to see it done properly.
