Design of ski-boots hadn’t changed in the last 60 years and requires different ski-boots depending on performance, ability, discipline, and style.
When it comes buying a new pair of boots, it's always about a compromise: expert users find themselves compelled in buying more than one pair: high cost and high waste.

In sports design, a new innovation is accepted by the sports council if it empowers the user or makes the sport to spread. But because of no big changes in the ski-boots design, a rising number of skiers are quitting the sport. Here the opportunity raised for this project.

This pneumatically controlled artificial muscles system for dynamic self-adjusting ski-boots gives the user the amount of support needed at the right moment, using two pressure sensors, one pump, two valves and 2 artificial muscles, which double the volume once pumped up.

The muscles are placed behind the Achilles tendon and ankle, the key area of control and comfort for any skier.
